¡Bienvenidos!
Hello My Name Is Rose Dominguez-Haak.
Hi everyone and welcome to my website! Here you will find useful information to help you succeed in my Spanish classes. First and foremost, learning a new language is an awesome and rewarding goal but it does take time, commitment, and patience on your part. The more effort you put in, the more you will succeed.
A little about me.
I was born in New York and as a child I moved back and forth between the east coast and Spain. Eventually my family settled in Bergen County, New Jersey. After completing my BA in Spanish and my student teaching in New Jersey, I moved to California where I met my husband, completed my Master's Degree in Multicultural Education and had my three sons. I taught reading and Spanish at a private school in Beverly Hills for a couple of years. I also taught high school Spanish In Torrance at Bishop Montgomery High School for 8 years as well as two years at Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach.
We moved to beautiful Colorado in 2000 where my sons had the privilege of attending Eagle Ridge Elementary, Cresthill, and Highland Ranch High School. My eldest is a School of Mines graduate, my middle son graduated from CU Boulder, and my youngest is contemplating a career as an electrician or small business owner.
My teaching career began in Colorado in 2008 when I taught all the wonderful students at Redstone Elementary. In 2009 I began my career here at RHMS and it has been an awesome ride!
