About Me:


This is my 21st year as an educator and my eighth year teaching at Rocky Heights Middle School.  A native West Virginian, my family and I relocated to the Denver Metro area eight years ago to be closer to family.  I'm an avid road biker and enjoy hiking the beautiful trails of our state. My husband and I enjoy ballroom dancing and travel with our son.

Daily:  3rd period (9:30- 10:15)  and  8th period (2:00- 2:45)

Curriculum:

8th grade social studies is a comprehensive examination of American history from the early colonial period through the American Civil War. Units of study include the Colonial Age, Revolutionary War, the Early Republic Period, Westward Expansion, Industrialization and Urbanization and the American Civil War.
