Welcome to 6th Grade Language Arts!

     I am honored to be starting my third year at Rocky Heights Middle School as a sixth grade teacher.  Before joining the Nighthawks' community, I taught 7th grade in Manitou Springs.  For the majority of those 18 years, I taught language arts, but started in 2000 as a social studies teacher.  
     Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin makes me a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.  My first summer job was a speed pitch operator for the Milwaukee Brewers at the old County Stadium.  I love sports and coach basketball here at Rocky Heights.  Hopefully, I'll coach volleyball if our seasons come together.
     In 1995, I worked at a guest ranch for my summer job.  After that, I returned until I graduated from John Carroll University.  I alternated between two dude ranches for summers and winters until 2000 when I started in Manitou.      In 2018, I got married and moved to Denver.  I have an awesome 14 year old stepson.  In my free time, I enjoy all aspects of the outdoors:  walking, hiking, running, biking, snowboarding, xc skiing, rollerblading, and more.  Reading and writing have always been my hobbies; perhaps, someday, I'll hone my craft and try to get published.
