Science Rules!!
I'm very excited to be a teacher at Rocky Heights because this truly is a school of ROK stars! This is my seventh year teaching science at RHMS. This year I am part of the Blazer team.
I have two middle school age boys so, I get it.
It's going to be a great year.

I've always been interested in science. I often tested my parents patience when they would find mysterious "experiments" in our freezer. I will always choose to be outdoors if possible. Students will quickly learn that I LOVE playing Ultimate Frisbee. I've been playing for 25 years and have competed at Nationals and Worlds so... you could say I'm pretty serious about it. It's a lifestyle.
I also love skiing and backpacking. I even used to be an
ice climber and caver!

I've had a few jobs in my past but most unique was working at the Biosphere 2 in Tucson, AZ. I graduated with BS in Natural Science from Loyola Marymount University and have a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Arizona. Before teacher life I was the Landscape Architect for the Forest Service in Sedona, AZ. I'm from NY but have lived in CA, AZ, Kauai, and Ouray, CO before settling here.

My hope is that students gain a curiosity for the world around them and will leave my class unafraid to ask questions about why and how things work. Welcome to sixth grade science!
