Welcome to Social Studies!
My name is Ms. Sydney Manning. This is my first year at Rocky Heights Middle School, and I actually went to Rocky Heights when I was a middle schooler! In social studies this year we will explore what it means to be a social scientist, and how we define social studies. We will learn to use many different tools to discover how people interact with their environment and each other.

I studied social studies education at the University of Maryland and some of my favorite activities are hiking, skiing, running, reading, and cooking. I am so excited to be your social studies teacher this year!
