Scott Melanson is a 30+ year veteran educator specializing in visual media, storytelling, and design. Over three decades, he has built dynamic programs in visual arts, videography, photography, digital design, graphic design, and print media—long before most schools even knew what those programs could become.

A hands-on, creative, and lifelong learner, Melanson blends traditional craftsmanship with emerging technology, teaching students how to think like designers, shoot like filmmakers, and communicate like professionals. From yearbook production and broadcast media to brand development and digital storytelling, his classrooms function more like creative studios than lecture halls.

He believes visual literacy is a modern superpower. His work focuses on helping students not just consume media—but create it with purpose, precision, and impact.
