Cross Country Philosophy

The goal of RHMS Cross Country is to provide an opportunity for our student athletes to experience the positive benefits of distance running, competitive racing and being part of a team.  Teamwork, individual commitment, fitness and fun are all a part of the cross country season.  We attempt to accommodate for a wide range of participants - from the first-timer to the seasoned racer.  Our goal is to create a life-long respect for the health benefits of running.

Philosophy

The Rocky Heights wrestling program has built a strong tradition of building partnerships with our community to achieve the goal of instilling leadership skills in our wrestlers.  The wrestling program aims to create student athletes who become positive role models in and outside the classroom.  RHMS wrestling is also geared for students of all wrestling abilities, utilizing a differentiated approach in practices.  The RHMS wrestling program works closely with Rock Canyon to create a strong wrestling program within our community.

Philosophy

We believe that all track athletes can grow, develop, and improve over the course of the season not only in track, but in their other sports as well. The success of our track program is based on developing teamwork, leadership, respect, passion, a strong work ethic, individual commitment and dependability. It is our goal to foster the love of running/wellness and of healthy competition in our athletes, who are always striving for excellence, by emphasizing the importance of personal growth and improvement. Every type of athlete from beginner to seasoned track athlete is wanted and needed on the team.

Join our Unified team at Rocky Heights!

Team sports bring people together. Special Olympics Unified Sports teams do that and so much more. Unified Sports joins people with and without disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding. Our season will consist of Kickball, Basketball, and Soccer this year! We may also have additional fun events. If you want to have fun and want to help others, then this is for you!
