Hello My Name Is Josh Rice!
Welcome to my class website! On this website you will find many useful links and information related to our Spanish class. Learning a different language is an amazing experience that can open you up to a whole new world of culture, people and possibilities!
About myself...
I was born in Chandler, Arizona before moving at a young age to Highlands Ranch, CO. I went to school here in Douglas County at Cresthill Middle School before graduating with an IB diploma at Douglas County High School. I earned my BA degree in K-12 Education and Spanish at the University of Kansas and Metropolitan State University of Denver where I was an All-Conference player on the lacrosse team. During my time in college I also studied at La Universidad de Cádiz in Cádiz, Spain. I started my teaching career here at Rocky Heights in 2016 first as a student teacher and a year later as a licensed teacher. I teach Spanish levels 1A and 1B and starting in 2020 I will be taking over our Adaptive PE class with our SSN department. I am an avid sports fan and competitor and this year will be coaching Cross-country, 8th grade Girls Volleyball, 8th grade Boys Basketball and Track and Field. In my free time I love to travel, read, exercise, ski and spend time with my amazing girlfriend and our dog Laila. I am extremely passionate about teaching Spanish and coaching and I am excited to spend time with all of my amazing students!
