Advanced Language Arts
We’re kicking off our drama unit, The Art of the Disguise, exploring how people "wear masks" depending on their audience. Students will begin reading Act I of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and respond to analysis questions. We'll also take notes on verbals (gerunds, participles, and infinitives).

Language Arts
Our sci-fi unit, Beyond Reality, begins this week! Students will read Ray Bradbury’s “There Will Come Soft Rains”, focus on verbals in grammar, and start their sci-fi book clubs with self-selected novels.

Students who need to take the Weather Test or would like to retake the Weather Test need to see Ms. Haney.  Retakes will take place during team time this week. In order to do the retake, students must complete the Weather Test study guide and not have any missing assignments from the weather unit.

The Climate Test is this Friday, April 18. The study guide will be handed out in class on Wednesday.

This week we will start our human growth and development unit. This week we will establish why. Why is this important and why do we need to act with respect and maturity? We will review puberty and both the male and female reproductive system. As always please let me know if you have any questions.
