This week, our classes begin their new books for the quarter:

๐Ÿ“– Advanced Language Arts โ€“ Monster by Walter Dean Myers explores perspectives of power and argument as a young protagonist navigates the justice system, claiming innocence in a crime.

๐Ÿ“– Language Arts โ€“ Across Five Aprils by Irene Hunt, set during the Civil War, examines loyalty, family, and the power of words as a family grapples with divided allegiances.

Students will engage in discussions and activities to deepen their understanding. Ask them about their reading!
