This week, students will analyze two sample arguments, assessing their strengths and weaknesses. They will then craft a 15-minute rough draft argument on a chosen prompt. Advanced Language Arts will revisit last week’s women’s suffrage speech, compare it to an opposing argument, and evaluate evidence, audience, tone, word choice, and connotation. Language Arts will compare two arguments on honesty in social media and present their findings. These activities will enhance critical thinking, persuasive writing, and rhetorical analysis skills.
