This week students will continue the focus on text structures and read passages as mentor texts. Students will then write a paragraph on a topic from their books using one of the text structures studied in class.

This week we are looking at the three branches of government. Students will complete an informational reading in our techbook and complete a graphic organizer.
We will then be working our Constitution tree activity and continuing with the Bill of Rights.

Students who need to make up the Waves Test or Waves CER should see Ms. Haney to figure out when to take these assessments.
Grades for the Waves Test will be entered on Wednesday morning and retakes will be discussed during block class this week.
This week we’ll continue working on our genes and proteins unit.

2 = Multiple redirects/reminders within the defined criteria. Redirect leads to short lived change in conduct.
1 = Regular redirects/reminders within the defined criteria. Conduct creates a disruption to the learning environment. Parent Contact & Intervention necessary.
