Team Time Work Habits Grade Reminder:
On the Navigator Team, students are given time on Mondays and Tuesdays to complete their I-ready requirements for the week. Their Team Time work habits grade is a reflection on their work ethic during I-ready time as well as the other work that they may be assigned during Team Time that week. If students fail to meet the requirements, their work habits grade will reflect this.

This week we are finishing our poetry unit. Students will be discussing the end of their novels in verse on Monday. Tuesday students will finish planning their poetry analysis essay. Block day will be for turning the plan into an essay. If students have been keeping up with the planning progress, drafting the essay should be quick. All resources to complete the essay are in Google Classroom.
Additionally, students will be given class time on Tuesday to retake the Poetry Mastery Check given last week.

Math 8: We are practicing our graphing and substitution of systems. We will have a quiz this block day to assess their mastery.

Last week we went over the Natural Selection CER and some students signed up to retake the CER. The retakes will be during block class this week.
This week we’ll be wrapping up our phases of the moon and eclipses unit with a quiz on block day (Wednesday or Thursday).

This week in SS we are having an open note quiz on the Constitution and the three branches of government. In addition we are also looking at Hamilton Vs. Jefferson and the Louisiana Purchase.
