H.S. Registration Deadlines:

IC Portal closes for registration on Thursday, Jan. 25 @ 8:00pm
-
Registration forms are due by this Friday, Jan. 26th. Students should be turning in their long pink form and the printout from IC. BOTH of these forms have a place for parent signature. Students may also be turning in an override form or an AP form.

Students will continue our poetry unit. They will complete their “I’m Nobody” Tribute poem on Monday. Students will then analyze the poem “Slam, Dunk, and Hook” by Yusef Komunyakaa. On block day, we will cover the literary device allusion and write a short constructed response analyzing “Slam, Dunk, and Hook” for poetry devices and their impact on the meaning of the poem.

Students will complete the Natural Selection CER during class on Monday. Then will continue the unit by learning about artificial selection. The quiz over natural and artificial selection will be this Friday, Jan. 26.
