Last week students took the Phases of the Moon and Eclipse Quiz.  If your student needs to make up the quiz, please have them make plans to take it during team time this week.  Grades have already been entered for this quiz.

This week we’ll be learning about the Universe, the Milky Way Galaxy, and our Solar System as well as the role gravity plays in all of those.

This week in PE we will be playing frisbee golf and during the block we will be running the mile for our final fitness gram test. Please let me know if you have any questions. Make up miles will take place the week of May 9th.

Math 8: We are wrapping up our scientific notation unit with our test wednesday. We will review the first half of the block and complete the test in the second half. We then begin our review for the final.


Algebra: We are wrapping up our exponential function unit with the test friday. We then begin our review for the final.

This week we are examining how slavery divided the nation .  We will complete a guided reading and have a short open note quiz.  We will also be taking a look at the Underground Railroad by completing a reading and viewing a short video.  Students will also be designing and creating an Underground Railroad quilt square.
