There will be a quiz over phases of Moon and eclipses during block class this week and a study guide will be sent out on Monday on the Google Classroom Stream. All missing assignments from this unit must be completed and turned in by 2:45pm this Thursday.

Math 8: We are beginning our scientific notation unit. We will convert into and out of scientific notation and perform operations. We will have the unit test next week on friday. We will then begin reviewing for the final.
Algebra: We are beginning our exponential function unit. We will graph and explore growth and decay. The test will be next week on friday. We will then review for the final test.

This week we will begin our unit on the Civil War. We will start off with some vocabulary, geography, and a timeline of events. We will then look at some of the compromises that were in place before the war, and also examine the case of the Amistad.
