Attendance

If your child will be absent or tardy please call the attendance line at (303)387-3302. The attendance line is available 24 hours a day and 7 days per week. Please leave your student's first and last name (spelling last name), notify us of the reason for the absence, and provide the dates that your student will be absent from school. We ask that you provide the school with a reason for the absence to avoid your student being marked as unexcused.

If your student is out due to illness, please specify what symptoms your child is experiencing, which will allow us to better monitor illnesses at RHMS.

If your student is leaving school early please call the main office at (303)387-3300, and provide us with the time that you will be picking your student up from RHMS. 

You can also send your student in with a note, which they can turn into the main office in the morning. At that time our front office staff will write them a pass for the time that you have requested in your note.

Although we strive to do our best to release your student, not providing enough notice for an early release could result in a delay in releasing your student. Alternatively, students may bring in a note to the attendance window from their parents excusing them from class and a pass will be written at that time.

If you receive an automated notification informing you that your child has been marked absent from a specific class period (i.e. student was marked absent, but was only tardy) please reach out to the teacher of that class. Incorrect attendance markings need to be discussed with the teacher, and the teacher will then notify the front office of the changes that need to be made.
